In Sept 2011, I'll be participating in a very special event called the

Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure.

I'll walk 60 miles over the course of three days with thousands of other women and men. Net proceeds from the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure™ are invested in community-based breast health programs and breast cancer research. The research funded focuses on decreasing breast cancer incidence and mortality in the next decade.

I've agreed to raise at least $2,300 in donations. I've set my personal goal at $3,000.00. So I need your help. Would you also please consider making a donation of $25.00? I am doing this walk to help find a cure because my Mom was just diagnosed with this horrible disease; her surgery was successful but she still has a long fight ahead of her. And now I’m pledging to help find a cure so I can help my Mom, my Daughter, and other men & women. Because everyone deserves a lifetime.

As an additional fundraiser, I will be raffling off one afghan an month and ALL proceeds from the raffles and/or Breast Cancer Awareness Afghans purchased (special orders included) will also go to Susan G. Komen 3 Day for the Cure! Raffle Tickets are $5.00 for 1, $25 for 6 or if you are generous, $50 for 20 tickets. Please remember the cause and it is tax deductible!
