We will walk 60 miles over the course of three days with thousands of other women and men. Net proceeds from the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure™ are invested in community-based breast health programs and breast cancer research. The research funded focuses on decreasing breast cancer incidence and mortality in the next decade.

We, as a team, raised $4743 in 2011 and we want to raise the stakes for 2012. So I need your help. Would you also please consider making a donation? I am doing this walk to help find a cure because my Mom was just diagnosed with this horrible disease; her surgery was successful but she still has a long fight ahead of her. And now I’m pledging to help find a cure so I can help my Mom, my Daughter, and other men & women because EVERYONE deserves a lifetime.

As an additional fundraiser, I will be raffling off one afghan an month and ALL proceeds from the raffles and/or Breast Cancer Awareness Afghans purchased (special orders included) will also go to Susan G. Komen 3 Day for the Cure!
